Job Description
As a key player in Cybersecurity Engineering, you will design, prototype, and support security-related infrastructure and applications. Your role will involve identifying and mitigating security risks to networks and systems while architecting, developing, and engineering enterprise security tools, which may include both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source solutions. You will need to demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies to adapt to the evolving threat landscape.

Engineering Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Architect and design new enterprise tools while upgrading existing infrastructure.
2. Operate effectively in a Linux or other shell command line environment.
3. Provide security application support, including the development of automated scripts.
4. Create necessary documentation (such as compliance installation guides, network diagrams, configuration guides, user tutorials, and requirements specifications).
5. Research, prototype, and implement new security-related technologies.
6. Collaborate closely with a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to meet their needs.
7. As a lead engineer, mentor and train other team members.
8. Assist in managing team functions and responsibilities.

Expectations:

You should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of learning quickly, possessing excellent troubleshooting skills, and able to work well both independently and in a team environment. A passion for Cybersecurity is essential.

You will work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions. Your work will be reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. You will represent the organization in providing solutions to complex technical issues associated with specific projects and support the team with strong and fair leadership, setting an example for others to follow.
