Responsibilities- Deliver successful outcomes in Housing Disrepair matters, including pre-litigated and litigated complex claims;
- Provide written and verbal advice in litigated and non-litigated matters;
- Communicate with clients, opponents, courts, and third parties to progress files;
- Contribute to business development through presentations, training events, articles, and submissions;
- Provide value-added services, such as client helpline calls, legal surgeries, and briefing notes;
- Support the Head of Department, Partners, and other advisors on their cases and departmental strategy;
- Manage and supervise Solicitors and Paralegals to achieve business objectives and professional development goals;
- Ensure compliance with internal and external business requirements, including ISO:9001 quality control and SRA Principles;
- Monitor and report on financial and business performance to deliver work in a profitable manner;
- Contribute to internal continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing;
- Support inter-departmental collaboration on joint files, projects, and events;
- Contribute to the development of the departmental business plan;
- Build positive relationships with clients and enhance the firm's profile to drive business growth;

- Qualified Solicitor (or CILEX equivalent) NQ up to 4 years PQE;
- Previous housing disrepair experience and knowledge is essential;
- Previous housing/insurance litigation experience;
- Proven experience of handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines, alongside the capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets;
- Strong presentation and client handling skills and commercial astuteness;
- Good knowledge of IT systems, including Word, Outlook, and case management systems;
- Good organisational and communication skills;
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivation skills;
- Ability to supervise and manage others effectively;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team and be reliable and enthusiastic;
- Excellent attention to detail;
