Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our Building Services team, you will be responsible for identifying and managing risks to our clients through the equipment on site, including identifying critical spares, improving performance of plant and equipment, managing the environmental conditions on site through the Building Management System (BMS), and running all plant and equipment efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage risks to clients through equipment on site
  • Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a bias towards the maintenance of Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems
  • Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team
  • Write and follow Risk Assessments and be available to address any issues that arise from them safely and accurately
  • Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete any works from the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Maintenance System
  • Liaise with the onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to manage any Building Services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required
  • Be the responsible person for the team and deputise for the site supervisor during annual leave or sickness when required
  • Work overtime as needed, which may include nights and weekends with little notice
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required
  • Supervise and manage sub-contractors
  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-out purposes outside of normal working hours
Requirements
  • A Recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Strong proven experience in HVAC maintenance
  • Mechanical Competences/Qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
  • Good multi-skilled ability
  • Ability to fault find
  • Ability to supervise contractors
  • Able to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Able to understand and write Permits and safe systems of work
  • F-Gas safe handling and use of refrigerants
Desirable
  • Working at Height Qualification
  • IPAF / PASMA
  • AP Qualifications
  • BMS system experience
  • HVAC Controls
