About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of administration within the department while leading and motivating a team of Accounts Payable Specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Accounts Payable Specialists, managing and coordinating their daily activities to ensure efficient processing of global EG invoices.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, flexibility, and continuous development within the team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement action plans to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the integration of new technologies to streamline accounting processes.
- Establish and maintain a robust system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and credits, including coding and posting transactions accurately.
- Oversee the authorization process for non-purchase order invoices, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Reconcile accounts payable statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage vendor relationships and address any inquiries or concerns effectively.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proven experience in leading and managing a team. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, along with relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA.
