International Nurses OSCE Training Programme

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability offers an OSCE training programme designed for internationally trained nurses seeking to advance their careers in the UK. This structured intensive programme prepares candidates for the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration process and provides a pathway to joining our team.
Programme Objectives- To equip internationally trained nurses with the necessary skills and competencies to succeed in the UK healthcare system
- To provide a comprehensive understanding of the NMC registration process and requirements
- To offer a supportive and structured environment for candidates to learn and practice
The OSCE programme is divided into four weeks, with a focus on teaching, demonstration, and practice in weeks one and two. Week three is dedicated to mock assessments, and week four involves OSCE exams. Throughout the programme, candidates will be supported by a dedicated clinical education team.
Key Programme Components- Introduction to the OSCE Programme and assessment process
- APIE workstations, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Clinical Skills workstations, covering administration of inhaled medications, aseptic non-touch technique, and more
- Evidence-based workstations, focusing on diabetes, female myocardial infarction, and pressure ulcer prevention
- Professional values workstations, addressing confidentiality, drug error, and social media
Candidates will receive funding for OSCE exams, transport to test centres, meals, and accommodation. Additionally, we offer onsite accommodation, funding for airline ticket costs, and a welcome goodie pack. Our dedicated clinical education team will provide ongoing support throughout the programme.
Post-OSCE OpportunitiesUpon completion of the OSCE programme, candidates can take advantage of the many learning opportunities available to nurses in the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, including the structured preceptorship programme.
