Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with a strong clinical background to engage and motivate our students. This role involves delivering educational content across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including collaborative learning experiences within the institution. You will play a crucial role in enhancing student learning, teaching, and assessment, while also managing the associated quality and administrative responsibilities to ensure an outstanding educational experience. Additionally, you will support students throughout their academic journey, including admissions, academic guidance, clinical placements, and personal support.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Possess a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the critical, practical, and theoretical aspects of radiotherapy and oncology.
- Hold a relevant honours degree (UK or equivalent) or a professional qualification in therapeutic radiography, along with registration from a recognized regulatory body.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum, engage in research, and participate in scholarly activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Student Engagement
Design and implement innovative and high-quality learning experiences that challenge and equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge sought by employers. Foster a sense of community among students and serve as a primary contact for their needs. Actively participate in the operational aspects of course delivery and address any emerging issues proactively.
Teaching and Assessment
Plan and deliver the curriculum using diverse media, including technology. Engage in reflective practices to enhance teaching effectiveness. Contribute to advancements in learning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum design to meet learner needs. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, integrating professional experience into the academic framework.
Research and Scholarly Activities
Identify and engage in research and scholarly activities relevant to the educational role, incorporating findings into teaching practices. Seek opportunities for income generation through research, consultancy, or professional practice.
Collaboration and Communication
Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels to achieve team objectives. Build and maintain relationships across departments and faculties, ensuring effective communication with management regarding responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Good honours degree (UK or equivalent) or relevant professional qualification in therapeutic radiography.
- A master's level qualification or a commitment to pursue one.
- Registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PG Cert or HEA fellowship) or a commitment to obtain one.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Desirable:

Experience
