HGV Technician

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Sprint Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to customer fleets.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, including maintenance inspections and diagnostic fault finding.
- Perform reactive repairs to customer fleets, ensuring all vehicles are safe, legal, and fit for duties.
- Ensure all vehicles are road tested prior to confirming completion, and that any wheels removed are refitted in the correct manner and wheel nuts torqued using the company's calibrated torque wrenches.
- Maintain good housekeeping of the workshop and vehicles, and ensure the company complies with its commitment to ISO14001/9001 accreditation, IRTE, and FTA.
- Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork with good work practice.
- Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance, electrical circuits and systems, and engineering procedures.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components, and make decisions and work on own initiative.
- Experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
