Job Title:
Assistant Principal (Pupil Development & Well-being)

Job Purpose:
To provide exceptional leadership to the Senior School, driving strategic initiatives for pupil development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop policies and procedures for pastoral support.
• Coach Heads of Year and the PSHE & RSE Lead to enhance pastoral care.
• Oversee Form Tutor Teams and integrate well-being into the curriculum across departments.
• Manage external relationships for mental health education and provide leadership for pastoral staff.
• Support safeguarding for Key Stages 3 and 4 and liaise with external bodies.
• Coordinate the school's rewards and sanctions system and investigate behavior incidents as needed.
• Support the Student Governing Body and teach up to eight periods weekly.

Requirements:
A dynamic leader with strong management skills, capable of building rapport with pupils, maintaining high levels of organisation and confidentiality, and possessing excellent communication and presentation abilities. An awareness of the role of well-being in raising standards is essential, and experience in leading school-wide well-being initiatives would be an advantage.
