Senior Town Planner Job Description

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join their multidisciplinary team. As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for delivering projects nationally across the UK, working closely with town planners, architects, and landscape designers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement town planning strategies to meet client needs
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to inform planning decisions
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Manage a caseload of projects, including some larger and more complex projects
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff members
Requirements:
  • 12-18 months experience in the public or private sector as a Town Planner
  • MUST be a licentiate member of the RTPI or chartered status
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK for site visits
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
