About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Content Editor to join our team at Hearst UK. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality accuracy and tone of our publications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sub-edit content for our publications, including checking facts, spelling, and grammar.
  • Compose compelling display copy in keeping with our house styles.
  • Sub-edit additional editorial or commercial content as needed.
  • Ensure pages meet our high standards in terms of tone and accuracy.
  • Send layouts for legal checks when necessary.
  • Flag issues to the Chief Editor regarding copy or layouts.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure pages meet requirements.
  • Second-read subbed layouts on proof.
  • Assist with final reads, signing off pages, and proofing.

About You

We are looking for someone with great accuracy and attention to detail, who is organized, calm under pressure, and capable of handling several tasks at once. An excellent problem solver and team player with good initiative is essential.
