Position Overview
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applications from dedicated and qualified professionals for the role of Advanced Clinical Fellow in Podiatric Surgery. This position is designed for individuals with a solid foundation in Podiatric Surgery, ideally holding the FRCS or an equivalent qualification.
Training Opportunities
This role offers specialized training aimed at those who have completed a UK training program and possess a CCT or an equivalent training pathway. The position includes extensive hands-on surgical training in Podiatric Surgery, with a focus on innovative techniques guided by NICE standards, such as sinus tarsi implant application and percutaneous bunion surgery, alongside arthroscopic fusions, complex osteotomies, and joint replacements.
Responsibilities
The fellow will engage in:
- All facets of Elective Podiatric Surgery, including pediatric cases upon request.
- Independent supervised operating lists based on experience.
- Outpatient clinic attendance.
- Research and audit participation, with an emphasis on ongoing or new projects.
- Presentation and publication of research findings.
Collaborative Environment
The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in the Heart of England Foot and Ankle Society meetings, which include consultant surgeons from the region.
