Key Responsibilities:
The role encompasses performing repairs, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles within designated timeframes and budgetary constraints. Candidates must possess a C1 category license or be willing to obtain one within six months.
Job Duties Include:
- Taking proactive measures for maintenance and repair tasks on various vehicles.
- Overseeing the servicing, repair, and upkeep of all fleet vehicles.
- Collaborating with other technicians and traveling to various service locations.
- Executing mechanical, electrical, and bodywork repairs on vehicles.
- Responding to service calls as required.
- Conducting MOT inspections and necessary repairs.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and cleanliness of the workshop.
- Complying with health and safety regulations and waste management standards.
- Providing mentorship and support to fellow team members.
- Engaging in continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Candidate Profile:
Driving Qualifications:
- C1 License category (or willingness to obtain)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience Requirements:
Essential:
- Significant experience in vehicle mechanical engineering following apprenticeship completion.
Desirable:
Experience in a high-demand NHS maintenance setting.Educational Background:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle) or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
Membership in IRTE or IMI.Skill Set:
Essential:
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
