Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with world-leading experts on design and development projects with global impact, often seeing projects through from the initial exploratory phase to launch.
  • Participate in the design of innovative mechanisms, create elegant mathematical models, and get hands-on building and testing prototypes in state-of-the-art workshops and labs.
  • Contribute to the creation of novel intellectual property, reduce cost and environmental impact, improve manufacturability, and enhance performance to create class-leading products.

Requirements:

  • A first-class or 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
  • Experience working in a product design or development environment, applying Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and computational techniques to deliver product solutions, utilizing a wide range of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Knowledge and experience in low-volume rapid prototyping technologies as well as high-volume processes such as injection moulding.

The successful mechanical engineer will be a creative problem solver, able to generate innovative solutions to complex problems, assimilate new information, and learn new skills very quickly in a highly collaborative team environment.
