Job Overview

The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive management and execution of designated intricate projects throughout the organization. These projects will adhere to specific timelines and budgetary constraints.

Progress management and monitoring of the projects will be conducted through a relevant Project Plan, aligning with key milestones and targets that may be established on a national or local level. Project Sub-Groups will be formed, and the candidate will coordinate their efforts, ensuring alignment with the Project Plans.

This multifaceted role involves leading initiatives related to Cancer MDT Streamlining, cancer Pathway Analysis, and the implementation of the Trust Targeted Lung Health Check project. The position will primarily be based at a designated hospital, with travel required to various hospital sites and meeting venues across the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with essential stakeholders to develop and finalize a clear program plan, which includes the implementation of Optimal pathways, Timed pathways, MDT Streamlining (incorporating Standards of Care), and the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme, ensuring measurable outcomes that enhance cancer services.

- Identify and engage relevant internal and external Project stakeholders, establishing effective communication channels to convey the project's objectives, fostering a liaison network as necessary, and addressing any potential resistance.

- Gather, create, analyze, and evaluate data from diverse sources to produce information that supports informed decision-making. Compare data to present various options and perspectives where applicable.

- Ensure the establishment of a robust communication framework for the dissemination of pertinent information, both internally and externally.

- Regularly communicate project progress in relation to the Project Plan, adhering to the required reporting frequency. Communication may involve various organizations and individuals, including health departments, boards, alliances, and staff, facilitated through performance monitoring documents, reports, and presentations.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools, gained through formal qualifications or practical experience.
