About the Role

This 2-year fixed term contract is an exciting opportunity to join a further education provider in Ambleside, located on a world heritage site. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out remedial actions as identified by risk assessments and surveys under fire management.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluating and resolving actions in relation to fire safety, including the repair of fire doors and completion of compartmentation remedials.
• Ensuring safe working practices in compliance with safety regulations, including the maintenance and testing of fire safety systems and appropriate record keeping.
• Working in a demand-led, multi-skilled role, with a focus on fire safety and building maintenance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a qualified joiner or NVQ Level 3 qualified in another building maintenance trade, with a willingness to undertake approved UK Fire Door Maintenance training.
