Join the Lancashire County Council catering team, which provides meal services to over 500 educational institutions across the region, delivering more than 60,000 meals daily. We are seeking dedicated individuals to contribute to our mission of providing nutritious meals for school children.
Role Overview:
As a member of the catering team at St Gregory's Primary School, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, healthy meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the dining environment for service, including arranging furniture and ensuring cleanliness.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness of all catering equipment and areas.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Capability to perform under pressure and demonstrate initiative.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Previous experience in catering and food preparation is advantageous.
Working Schedule:
Monday to Friday, during term time only, with a total of 7.5 hours per week, typically 1.5 hours per day. Please note that hours may vary based on meal demand.
This is a part-time position, and the salary mentioned is based on full-time equivalency, with actual earnings calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a background check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as part of the recruitment process.
