Data Governance Lead Job Description

**Job Summary**

Head Resourcing is seeking a Data Governance Lead to join our team for a 6-month initial contract. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping and overseeing our data governance framework, implementing policies and procedures, documenting data flows and lineage, and managing and monitoring data quality, data definition, and lineage requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead the creation and implementation of a new data governance initiative
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain a robust data governance framework
* Design and implement policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity
* Document data flows and lineage to support data-driven decision making
* Manage and monitor data quality, data definition, and lineage requirements

**Requirements**

* Proven experience in data governance or a related field
* Strong understanding of data management principles and practices
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 3 days on-site in Edinburgh
