Associate Town Planner Job in a Consultancy Setting

Hunter Dunning Limited is seeking an experienced Associate Town Planner to join our team in a consultancy role. As an Associate Town Planner, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on planning matters to clients, collaborating and leading planning projects across the region, and managing site promotion and appeals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Planning Project Management: Lead and collaborate on planning projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  2. Client Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on planning matters to clients, including local plan representations and planning applications.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and other professionals, to achieve project goals.
  4. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling services to clients.
  5. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with local and national planning policy changes, and contribute to the development of the team's knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 5+ years of experience post-qualification in a planning consultancy or similar environment.
  2. Qualifications: Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related field, and RTPI membership.
  3. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with clients.
  4. Other: Full driving licence and car, with the ability to travel as required.
