About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Security Supervisor to join our team at Securitas Security Services. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of security personnel and ensuring the safety and security of our clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of 40+ security personnel
  • Ensuring all personnel under your supervision have undertaken the appropriate site training to meet industry requirements
  • Accurate rostering and forward planning of all direct reporting officers
  • Building a strong rapport with reoccurring customers
  • Monitoring and managing the appearance and behaviors of all Security personnel
  • Actively encouraging staff recognition and staff nominations for awards
  • Assignment Instructions and site documentation kept up to date
  • Reporting incidents in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures
  • Assisting the Security Management Team in developing and sharing of best practice and use of systems and tools to improve service effectiveness
  • Planning, development and implementing staff training, including both routine duties and emergency procedures
  • Monitoring faults with security related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly
  • Being fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems, ensuring an effective monitoring and reporting function is maintained
  • Assisting the Service Delivery Manager with any reasonable or practical request

Essential Skills

What you will bring to be a Security Supervisor:

  • A clear 5-year check-able employment history and ability to obtain National Security Clearance
  • Experience managing or assisting to manage a team within the corporate security sector
  • A current SIA License or willingness to complete the necessary training to acquire professional accreditation
  • A Full and clean driving licence
  • Good communication skills, able to articulate with authority
  • The ability to remain calm and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
  • Vigilance and alertness, able to use caution and apply an inquisitive mindset to your duties
  • Knowledge of access control software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with a Strong general IT ability
  • A proactive approach to all activities
  • Organisation and planning skills
  • Rostering experience of varying shift patterns
  • Leading 1-2-1's
  • Extremely well presented

Previous experience gained in a Corporate Security environment would be desirable
