Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Resident Engineer to join our team in the Birmingham area, covering the B24 postcode area. As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for finding, diagnosing, and rectifying faults, as well as undertaking preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Find, diagnose, and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Undertake preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites
  • Work with a range of equipment, including small pallet trucks, IC trucks, VNA trucks, and automated trucks
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and customers to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues
Requirements
  • Experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or hydraulics
  • NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification (ideally)
  • IT literacy and ability to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the role

Working Conditions

This role works a two-shift pattern, covering 0500 hrs to midnight. Generally, the shifts will be 05.30-14.00 hrs and 13.30-22.00 hrs, but flexibility to work a bit earlier or later is required. Friday shifts will be 09.00 - 17.30hrs.
