**Job Title:** Space Planning Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Space Planning Specialist to join our Property Department at STARK Building Materials UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of new and refurbishment branches across our portfolio of approximately 600 branches.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and plan the layout of new branches, refurbishment projects, and special projects, working closely with internal departments and external consultants and suppliers.
  • Conduct ad hoc surveys at branches and new sites nationally to gather information and prepare measured surveys for space planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Control regulations and maintain a basic understanding of these regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with branch operations teams to achieve timely and cost-effective project targets.
  • Adapt core group space planning criteria to meet each unique site and situation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to contribute to design development opportunities within each scheme or brief.
  • Verify that external construction design details meet the brief of the space plan, liaising closely with external design consultants.

**Requirements:**

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience using 3D software is preferred.
  • Experience using space planning software.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work independently, self-manage, and prioritize workload.
