About the Role:
Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, providing essential support to students with significant learning challenges. You will be working within a small classroom setting, assisting children in Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 who require specialized educational assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students aged 9-13 years with severe learning disabilities, ensuring their educational needs are met.
  • Assist multiple classes, providing support to various students rather than focusing on one-on-one interactions.
  • Facilitate communication for students with limited verbal skills, utilizing methods such as symbols or signing.
  • Encourage active participation and peer learning among students, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain a supportive and understanding atmosphere, responding appropriately to both verbal and non-verbal communication.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Experience working with students who have Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and personal care requirements.
  • A strong command of numeracy and literacy skills, essential for supporting students with communication challenges.
  • The ability to commit to full school hours, five days a week.
