About the Role

The Geoscientist II will provide technical support during the pre and post-sales process for the RokDoc and Curate suite of software and establish a 'trusted advisor' relationship with users to provide proactive support and engagement. Furthermore, the Geoscientist II will deliver software training as required to meet Client demand and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and disseminate high-quality material related to the software products in the portfolio.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations and software demos for all products in the Ikon portfolio, gathering client feedback to inform software development prioritization.
  • Provide regional support to the Sales team in promoting the portfolio's software products to both internal services and external clients/prospects.
  • Collaborate with account managers to progress sales when needed.
  • Nurture and grow designated accounts.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings with a qualified outlook on possible software sales.
  • Report to the Customer Success Manager (region).
  • Lead software training sessions.
  • Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate proactiveness.
  • Respond to client inquiries on the dedicated Support phone line when required.

Requirements

  • Previous knowledge of, or direct experience of drilling (mud logging/LWD/MWD), seismic acquisition/processing, rock physics, seismic interpretation, seismic inversion.
  • Experience in Geology & Geophysics software support considered desirable.
  • Experience in navigating and supporting the digital transformation processes within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate extensive use of RokDoc software.
  • Proficiency in Python coding language would be desirable.
  • Previous Salesforce usage would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Petrel software would be advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation skills (for training & client demos).
  • Ability to work in a small local team yet being part of a large global team.
  • Able to identify retention and growth opportunities.
  • Ability to establish a trustable relationship with users and nurture accounts.
