About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our Financial Services team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading external audits, managing a portfolio of clients, and leading audit teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement audit strategies and plans in collaboration with the client service management team.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to audit teams and clients on UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Lead audit teams to ensure timely completion of audits within budget.
  • Manage audit assignments from planning to finalization, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control time spent, ensuring alignment with budget and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for new work and business growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other teams to drive business development and growth.
  • Act as a point of contact for senior management and clients, providing exceptional service and support.
Requirements
  • ACA/CA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Significant experience in leading external audits, managing a portfolio of clients, and leading audit teams.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Manager or equivalent.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Relevant insurance sector audit experience.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Experience in managing, training, and coaching audit teams.
  • Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft packages.
