Job Title: Multi-Trade Operative

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Trade Operative to join our Voids team in Swindon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties within social housing to bring properties up to letting standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend properties to carry out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties
  • Resolve problems or set in motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintain a suitable van stock level and restock as needed
  • Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works
  • Provide out-of-hours cover via a call-out rota
Requirements:
  • Qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical, or plumbing)
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within social housing is advantageous
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Additional skills in plumbing, carpentry, and plastering would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Full valid UK driving license
