Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapist - Adult Neurological Conditions

Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a locum basis. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working with adults with neurological conditions, providing assessment, treatment, and support to help them achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of clients with diverse presentations to identify needs and formulate intervention plans.
• Provide advice, information, and training to staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate specialist knowledge in instrumental evaluation of swallowing, including interpretation of video fluoroscopy and FEES reports.
• Provide clinical advice and support to the Speech and Language Therapy Team and support staff and students.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate training in dysphagia.
• Ability to manage a complex case load independently with proven expertise in the field of neurorehabilitation.
• Experience in supervising junior SLT team members, writing appraisals, and action plans.
• Active involvement in service development projects.
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
