Job Summary:

Team Jobs - Strategic Accounts is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Yeovil. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and testing mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test mechanical systems, including repair and overhaul of products to engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Perform mechanical fitting and testing of Life Support equipment, adhering to Honeywell and customer standards.
  • Operate Quality Control processes, including stamping to confirm quality of assemblies.
  • Ensure on-time delivery by completing work efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, follow process layouts, and document procedures.
  • Work effectively in a lean environment, adhering to company processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly, fitting, testing, and machining.
  • High standard of Health & Safety.
  • Ability to work in a customer-focused environment, achieving targets.
  • Working with designers and engineers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Aerospace practice and safety critical work.
  • PC literate.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions.
  • Essential skills in Health & Safety, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to undergo further training, including PC skills, Manual Handling, 5S, HOS Principles, and general Health & Safety.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK and be able to pass all appropriate background and security checks, including Full BPSS Screening, proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, and Drugs Screening.
