About the Role:

Zest is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join our team. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of our HSE Management System across all business functions to ensure compliance with ISO certifications such as 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including employees, clients, and contractors, providing support and guidance as required.
  • Monitor and measure HSE objectives, targets, and performance proactively via audits and site visits, and communicate performance through scheduled meetings.
  • Produce and deliver HSE awareness training, such as drop-in sessions, safety briefs, and toolbox talks, to operational teams and the wider business.
  • Support the safe, high-quality delivery and continuous improvement of all projects, working closely with operational teams.
  • Monitor HSE performance and provide monthly HSE reporting and trends.
  • Provide support for management of change through internal audit, impact assessment support, and awareness training delivery.
  • Support the management and monitoring of company and grey fleet driving for work approvals and maintain records in line with GDPR.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and support as required.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience in health and safety, environmental, and/or quality in a similar industry.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • IOSH Membership.
  • IEMA/NEBOSH Environmental Awareness/Equivalent.
  • Auditing training.
  • Incident Investigation Training.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Other HSE training (SSSTS, SMSTS, NRSWA, etc.).
