Position Overview

Are you looking for a role where your contributions have a significant impact?

As a Senior Psychiatric Consultant within the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional clinical services while actively participating in the strategic growth of the team and associated services.

Collaborating with another Senior Psychiatric Consultant, you will offer care to individuals in the North East and South East regions.

Ideal candidates will possess MRCPsych or an equivalent qualification and be either registered or nearing registration on the Specialist Register. Full registration with the GMC is required, along with Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or the ability to obtain this within three months of starting).

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and diagnoses for individuals under the care of the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment service. Apply the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation as clinically appropriate. Facilitate the education of medical students associated with the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment service. Provide consultancy, guidance, support, and intervention to the team and other professionals. Engage in multi-disciplinary teamwork and collaborate with other secondary care services and external stakeholders as necessary.

Qualifications

Essential

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.

Desirable

Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management. MRCPsych Additional clinical qualifications.

Eligibility

Essential

Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment. Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months. Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment

Desirable

In good standing with GMC regarding warnings and conditions on practice
