Senior Mechanical Engineer

A leading technical start-up is seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. With a focus on laser detection and monitoring technology, this exciting opportunity offers a chance to shape the product and contribute to its growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical instruments and peripherals
  • Collaborate with product managers, manufacturing, service, support, and installation teams to meet requirements
  • Design and develop jigs and fixtures for manufacture and test
  • Plan and manage deliverables on time
  • Select and inspect suppliers, and handover to procurement
  • Design and document prototype and instrument testing to meet mechanical requirements
  • Consider component supply cost, lead time, and end of life
About You:
  • BEng or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with CAD packages, especially Solid Works
  • Background in start-up, deep technology, combined hardware/software products, laser spectroscopy
  • Design for Manufacture, Service & Support experience
  • Experience designing and conducting sub-component and final product testing
  • Packaging design for shipment experience desirable
