Role Overview: We are in search of an enthusiastic and innovative Drama Teacher to become part of our committed team. The successful candidate will ignite passion and creativity in students, nurturing their appreciation for drama and the performing arts. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional lessons that enhance students' abilities in acting, stagecraft, and theatre analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing captivating drama lessons for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Fostering students' creativity, confidence, and teamwork through both practical and theoretical approaches.
- Coordinating and directing school productions, performances, and extracurricular drama initiatives.
- Evaluating and assessing students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborating with fellow educators to refine and advance the drama curriculum.
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, in line with school policies and safeguarding standards.
- Engaging in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and professional development sessions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience teaching drama at the secondary education level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
- Dedication to extracurricular activities and school functions.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role in the future.
