- Prescribe and Fit Spectacles or Contact Lenses: Prescribe and fit spectacles or contact lenses to correct vision problems.
- Provide Treatment and Advice: Provide treatment and advice on visual problems, including contact lens care and eye health.
- Liaise with Other Medical Practitioners: Liaise with other medical practitioners to share patient care and provide comprehensive eye care services.
- Continuing Education and Training: Stay up-to-date with the latest eye care techniques and technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Staff Management: Manage a team of dispensing opticians and clerical staff to ensure seamless eye care services.
- Practice Administration: Administer, organise, and plan the development of the practice to ensure efficient and effective eye care services.
- Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and vendors at all times.
- Optometry Degree: Hold an Optometry degree approved by the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Service Orientation: Be service-oriented and experienced in providing exceptional customer service.
- Energy and Adaptability: Be energetic and familiar with working in a fast-paced environment.
