Job Title: Early Years Worker

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Worker to join our team in Gateshead. As an Early Years Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive childcare and early education to children aged 2-4 years.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in collaboration with the Lead Early Years Professional.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, inclusive childcare and early education that meets the needs of children and their families.
  • Establish a safe, welcoming environment that promotes children's learning and development.
  • Observe, monitor, and record children's learning and development.
  • Work in a non-discriminatory, culturally sensitive manner that encourages all families to access the service.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are kept, and health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Report and record any concerns regarding children's well-being and development to the Lead Early Years Professional.
  • Have high expectations of all children and demonstrate a commitment to ensuring they can achieve their full potential.
Requirements:
  • A level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Children's Care, Learning and Development, or equivalent.
  • Recent and extensive experience of working with young children, particularly two-year-olds, and delivering the EYFS curriculum.
  • Experience of providing quality and stimulating play and learning opportunities for young children.
  • Experience of working with disabled children, young people, and parents/carers and delivering an inclusive child-centred service.
  • Experience of working as a member of a child-centred team.
