Recreational Sports Leader

Position Overview:
The North Kelvin Extra Time initiative is a structured afterschool multi-sport program aimed at enhancing the physical fitness and lifestyle education of primary school children in the north-west region of Glasgow. This project operates daily, providing two hours of afterschool care, and the selected candidate will be expected to participate in all sessions throughout the week.
This position involves the daily implementation of the NK Extra Time curriculum at one of our designated school locations. While the role is fixed at 10 hours per week, there may be opportunities to extend these hours through involvement in additional projects managed by North Kelvin Sports Development Group.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality programming for the North Kelvin Extra Time initiative at the assigned site.
- Execute the NKET curriculum effectively at each delivery location.
- Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders, including partners and participants.
- Maintain regular communication with the coordinator, ensuring all attendance and program data is accurately recorded and securely stored.
- Adhere to and promote the club's ethos and philosophy.
- Encourage improvements in physical activity and advocate for positive lifestyle choices.
- Uphold and promote ethical standards, child protection policies, fair play, and equal opportunities for all members.
- Provide monthly reports to the Project Coordinator.
- Assist with any relevant club activities as directed by the management committee.
