Job Purpose

  • To oversee the daily operations of the Technical Support Desk, ensuring seamless communication and technical assistance to field-based engineers.
  • To provide expert advice and guidance on gas, electric, and refrigeration matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • To maintain an accurate and up-to-date technical library, including equipment installation and servicing manuals, parts listings, and wiring diagrams.
  • To act as a technical ambassador for Fresh Recruit, promoting safe working practices and industry best practices.
  • To provide technical support and assistance to field-based engineers, including site visits and telephone support.
  • To ensure all technical documents, publications, and equipment are accurate, up-to-date, and calibrated for ongoing use.
  • To support the delivery of safe working practices through refrigeration and electrical training, and gas certification.
  • To ensure all gas servicing is carried out in accordance with customer contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the Field Operations Manager and engineers to achieve business objectives.
  • To provide technical guidance and support to field-based engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • To maintain accurate records of technical support and assistance provided to field-based engineers.
  • To identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
