About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to join our team at Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare Limited.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aseptic compounding unit. Key responsibilities will include participating in our environmental monitoring program, performing microbiological identification of contaminants, and maintaining accurate records of QA activities.

Key Accountabilities & Activities:

  1. Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring using various techniques to ensure a sterile environment.
  2. Conduct fertility testing on process simulations to ensure product quality.
  3. Oversee the temperature monitoring of storage areas.
  4. Maintain accurate records of QA activities and perform data entry for trending environmental monitoring data.
  5. Perform routine cleaning and QA documentation checks.
  6. Participate in training and key task assessments as needed.
  7. Assist with other projects and tasks as required by the QA Laboratory Manager.

About You:

  1. GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science or equivalent
  2. BSc in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Microbiology
  3. Experience working in a microbiology laboratory
  4. Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills
  5. Ability to focus and meet tight deadlines
