Role Summary:

As the Mechatronics Testing Excellence Manager, you will play a crucial role in guaranteeing the safety and reliability of commercial vehicle trailer products.

Your duties will encompass leading the test operations team, which includes technicians, test engineers, and vehicle test operations, throughout the product development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all facets of mechanical and electronic testing operations, including rig, test chamber, and in-vehicle testing.
  • Ensure timely execution of tests and meticulous documentation of reports.
  • Propel continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and procedures, applying principles of 5S and process excellence.
  • Minimize testing setup time and enhance the operational efficiency of machine utilization.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a testing environment, ideally in the automotive or mechatronics sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechatronics systems, with specific expertise in brake systems for commercial vehicle trailers.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to safety-critical products.
  • Proven experience in executing process improvement initiatives, such as 5S and process excellence.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Industry 4.0 technologies, including test automation and data digitization tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
