We are seeking an experienced Indirect Strategic Buyer to join our client's dynamic team in Telford. As a key member of the purchasing department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's purchasing strategy and driving cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Negotiator: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices for indirect goods and services.
- Cost Reduction Champion: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and implement effective solutions to add value to the bottom line.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to establish and agree upon KPIs and standards, ensuring smooth supplier relationships.
- Market Analyst: Stay up-to-date with commodity market trends to provide critical data for strategic supplier negotiations.
- Process Innovator: Lead the charge in controlling and continuously improving the ordering processes for stores, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
- Contract Specialist: Draft purchasing contracts and make supplier recommendations for new and existing requirements.
