We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Fire Door Installer to join our team at PiLON, a leading provider of construction services in the social housing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire door installation, including the ability to install fire-rated flat entrance doors and upgrade existing flat entrance doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install fire-rated flat entrance doors and upgrade existing flat entrance doors, including new lipping, door adjusting, replacing hinges, installing intumescent strips and smoke seals, and fire stopping behind door frames.
- Work on various projects in the South-West and South-East London areas, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with our team to deliver projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in fire door installation and passive fire stopping.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification.
- Valid CSCS card and Right to Work in the UK.
- Asbestos awareness training and experience working with 110v or battery-operated tools.
- Good English language skills and a UK driving license.
- Own vehicle and ability to travel to project sites.
Desired Qualifications:
- Firas Certified or BM Trada in fire door fitting.
- Manual handling and working at height certifications.
- Experience in passive fire stopping and fire door installation.
