Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled Paediatric Staff Nurse to take on a leadership position within our team. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for a specified group of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake and document a comprehensive, systematic, and accurate nursing assessment of the physical, social, and spiritual needs of patients where appropriate.
  • Create and utilize opportunities to promote health and well-being of patients in their care.
  • Lead a nursing team to manage a group of patients throughout a shift.
  • Ensure that all staff working within the Policies, Procedures of the Trust in line with NMC Guidance.
  • Positive attitude to continuing professional education in order to enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for safe and effective nursing practice.
  • Maintaining standards by ensuring that evidenced-based practice underpins all nursing interventions.
  • Participate in Trust Appraisal system.
  • Liaise with Ward/Department Team, other Wards and Departments as appropriate to ensure patients receive optimum care.
Requirements
  • RSCN/RN Child Branch/RN/RN Adult.
  • Willing to work towards a post-grad qualification in specialty.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Managerial qualification.
  • Diploma.
  • Leadership Development.
  • Post-Grad qualification in specialty.
