Mechanical Engineering Instructor Opportunity

Eden Brown Education is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering instructor to join a leading further education college in Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, temporary position where you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to delivery, planning, development, and student support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses at level 2 and level 3, including full-time, part-time, and apprentices. You will be required to plan, deliver, and develop teaching/learning programs using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles, while assessing learners' progress in college or on work experience and devising assessment processes against highly personalized progress targets.

Requirements:

  1. A recognized teaching qualification or good proven teaching/training experience
  2. Industry experience
  3. A minimum level 3 Mechanical Engineering-related qualification
  4. Literacy and Numeracy to at least level 2
  5. Experience teaching Mechanical Engineering to level 3
  6. Fitting, milling, and turning experience
  7. Availability on a full-time basis
  8. An Assessor IV qualification is beneficial but not essential

A current DBS check will be required for this role. If you do not have a current DBS check, the college will apply on your behalf.
