Job Summary:

Melior Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team on a major civil engineering wastewater project. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and training to ensure that all personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement method statements and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Carry out regular health, safety, and environmental inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assess labor and skills required for tasks and ensure that the necessary resources are available.
  • Review and update the contract programme weekly, highlighting any delays to the commercial team.
  • Ensure that daily and weekly briefing and review meetings are carried out, and that all relevant stakeholders are informed.
  • Develop and review regularly method statements and risk assessments to ensure that they remain effective.
  • Produce a monthly report to provide an overview of site activities and progress.
  • Update the commercial forecast and identify and provide information to the QS for variations and final accounts.
  • Meet with utility companies to agree diversions and ensure that all necessary permits are obtained.

Requirements:

  • Experience in civils and water (ideally wastewater project experience).
  • CSCS card.
  • Site Safety Plus - SMSTS certificate.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Confined Spaces certification.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Fire Warden certification.
  • HND/C or BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or NVQ L4/5 in Construction Site Management.
  • Water Hygiene card.
