Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team at Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd. As a Class English Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational activities and experiences to our students, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum to students, adapting to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Teacher and leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and support, setting targets for improvement and implementing strategies to address under-performance.
  • Develop and maintain nurturing relationships with students, parents, and carers, working in partnership to provide for their academic, spiritual, moral, social, emotional, and cultural well-being.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and adapt teaching methods to engage reluctant learners.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and experience of adapting it for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Desirable experience of working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Flexibility and a high level of creativity in teaching and learning
