English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled English Teacher to join our team at New Barn School, a specialist education and care provider for vulnerable pupils and young people. As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students with varying needs and abilities
  • Assess and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive education for our students
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, promoting their confidence and self-esteem

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English in a specialist setting, preferably with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Strong knowledge of current education issues and best practices in teaching and learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with challenging behaviors
