Job Overview

**About EVera Recruitment**

We are partnering with a leading innovator in electric motor solutions to find an exceptional Engineering Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Technical Leadership**: Provide strategic guidance on in-wheel motor and inverter technology, ensuring designs meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
  • **Intellectual Property Management**: Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio, identifying areas for future patent protection and supporting the organization in developing and managing systems to drive innovation.
  • **Product Development Excellence**: Develop and implement systems and procedures to drive excellence in product development, working closely with the functional management team to deliver projects.
  • **Project Management**: Support project management in scoping and resourcing projects, providing an escalation route for inter-function conflicts.
Requirements
  • **Education**: Degree in Engineering or a numerate subject.
  • **Experience**: Proven experience in the Automotive sector (Product Development and/or Launch) in a start-up and growth-oriented business environment known for its excellence.
  • **Technical Expertise**: Experience in e-machine and/or inverter design and development from concept through to launch.
  • **Quality Delivery**: Demonstrable experience of delivering a quality product to a demanding customer.
  • **Industry Expertise**: Significant experience in automotive Tier 1 Product Engineering functions.
  • **Communication Skills**: Strong communication skills at all levels, including external ones.
