About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technologist to join our team at Hunter Dunning Limited. As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in the technical design and coordination of multiple projects across all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and coordination of multiple projects across all RIBA stages
  • Produce and/or supervise the preparation of technical design information, including drawings, details, specifications, and other relevant documentation and reports
  • Lead design team meetings, produce meeting reports and actively contribute to all project meetings
  • Respond to and resolve site queries, attending site as required to review construction works for quality and statutory compliance
  • Depending on experience, manage and supervise junior team members to achieve optimal results
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Technologist/Senior Technologist on commercial or large residential projects
  • Demonstrated technical ability, especially in developing bespoke construction details to solve technical problems
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (a pre-interview Revit test will be issued to shortlisted candidates)
  • Thorough working knowledge of the UK planning process and building regulations, including recent changes under the BSA
  • Strong teamwork skills, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Clear and confident communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Good emotional intelligence and empathy, with the ability to establish positive rapport with others
