Offshore Consent Lead/Advisor

Join Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel in their search for an experienced Offshore Consent Lead/Advisor to lead the consenting process for a major offshore wind developer based in the UK.

About the Role

  • Work closely with the Consents team and Consents Optimisation Lead to scope and plan all activities and surveys required to facilitate the discharges of consent conditions, including Deemed Marine Licenses, for the pre-construction and construction programme.
  • Lead on contracting and procuring environment and other consultancy support to facilitate pre-construction activities for responsible areas.
  • Manage the programme of deliverables from consultants in responsible areas.
  • Liaise with the Project consents team to ensure alignment across the Project.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including engineering, lands, and commercial teams, to ensure cooperation within the Project.
  • Develop and implement strategies for relevant responsible areas, including risk management.
  • Contract and budget management for responsible areas.
  • Provide updates on key showstoppers and risks to the Consent Manager, including updates to the Project risk register.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant environmental or consenting discipline.
  • Experience in large-scale EIA and/or DCO projects, preferably offshore wind.
  • Experience in pre-construction and discharge activities and processes.
  • Experience in planning applications and working with local planning authorities.
  • Knowledge of impact assessment for offshore and inter tidal topic areas.
  • Experience in developing strategies for high-risk consenting topics.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and across different cultures.
  • Experience in developing and implementing QA processes.
  • Experience in stakeholder and regulator management, relevant to England and Wales.
  • Experience in procurement activities.
