Network Security Consultant Role

As a pivotal member of the Digital Services team, the Network Security Consultant will collaborate closely with our sales, Pre-Sales, and delivery teams to implement effective solutions in your area of expertise.

This role is essential to our digital transformation initiatives.

Engaging directly with clients, you will provide independent and expert consultancy, supporting various projects relevant to your specialization.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.

You should be able to communicate to clients:

  • What actions we will undertake
  • How we will execute them
  • The benefits they will receive

Additionally, you will have the capability to implement the proposed solutions within your area of expertise.

The Network Security Consultant must demonstrate strong business acumen, with a keen understanding of the current business landscape and the challenges it poses to organizations.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, encryption).
  • Familiarity with the implementation of CIS benchmarks.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of UK & EU compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or CISA are highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in creating and implementing security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage formal project lifecycles.
  • Deliver technical solutions within specified timeframes and budgets.
  • Collaborate with other Technical Consultants to resolve issues.
  • Engage in hands-on technical delivery, design, and project planning.
  • Oversee post-sales technical delivery activities.
  • Act as a trusted expert advisor, maintaining in-depth industry knowledge.
  • Mentor and develop Level-2 Technical Consultants within the Digital Services team.
  • Possess professional ICT accreditations.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience supporting environments or delivering projects in relevant technologies.
  • Hold a third-level qualification in IT or possess equivalent experience.
  • Ideally, have over 2 years of experience as a Security / Network Consultant in a professional service environment.
  • Demonstrate security consultancy experience within an MSP or similar business across various sectors.
  • Exhibit strong business, commercial, and risk management awareness with proven technical design governance.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills as technology evolves.
  • Communicate effectively to educate and coach others in implementing your designs; possess negotiation and persuasion skills to gain buy-in.
  • Identify optimal solutions for technical challenges while considering software and hardware limitations.
  • Be a collaborative team member with strong communication skills across all levels of seniority.
  • Demonstrate good organizational and administrative skills.
  • Work independently and under pressure.
  • Build relationships with staff and clients.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability.
  • Maintain a strong business/customer focus.
  • Work autonomously with minimal oversight and demonstrate self-motivation.
