About the Role

Campden BRI is a leading research and development organization in the food and drink industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join our Metals/Minerals Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver robust and efficient analytical services to the food and allied industries, ensuring the provision of relevant and cost-effective services.
  • Ensure the operation and effective utilization of resources and facilities within the team.
  • Perform technical operations required within a specific process and/or laboratory area, and provide practical assistance to colleagues.
  • Design and develop methodology using ICP, HPLC, or LCMS for a range of analysis for food and drink when required.
  • Respond to client enquiries relating to testing within the group.
  • Conduct work in accordance with all relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures, and instructions.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in the field of analytical science.
  • Good knowledge of food science and technology.
  • Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES, HPLC, or LCMS appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
  • Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system.
  • Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.
