Key Responsibilities:

Driving Duties:

  • Deliver transportation services for residents, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist residents with special needs during transit, including handling packages and providing physical support as necessary.
  • Maintain focus on driving; delegate tasks and interactions to on-board support staff while the vehicle is in motion. Personal mobile phone use is prohibited while driving.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents at all times.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, loss prevention, and infection control measures.
  • Possess a solid understanding of local traffic patterns to estimate travel times accurately and plan optimal routes.
  • Report any changes in residents' health or well-being to the appropriate coordinators.

Additional Responsibilities:

Team Collaboration:

  • Contribute to the activities team and engage in the activities program when not driving.
  • Respond promptly to requests and concerns from residents, families, and team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding residents' information at all times.
  • Notify coordinators of any resident concerns or issues.
  • Document and review Maintenance Logs and Daily Log for any needs or requests.
  • Train team members on driver assistance procedures and safety protocols as needed.
  • Comply with Highway Code regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure that risk assessments for the safe operation of community vehicles are current and effective.
  • Assist in planning outings and provide necessary information for the monthly activities calendar.

To excel in this position, candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid PCV license with a Cat D1. A calm demeanor in emergency situations and the ability to provide support and reassurance to residents and team members are essential.
