Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
- Deliver transportation services for residents, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist residents with special needs during transit, including handling packages and providing physical support as necessary.
- Maintain focus on driving; delegate tasks and interactions to on-board support staff while the vehicle is in motion. Personal mobile phone use is prohibited while driving.
- Foster positive relationships with residents at all times.
- Adhere to safety protocols, loss prevention, and infection control measures.
- Possess a solid understanding of local traffic patterns to estimate travel times accurately and plan optimal routes.
- Report any changes in residents' health or well-being to the appropriate coordinators.
Additional Responsibilities:
Team Collaboration:
- Contribute to the activities team and engage in the activities program when not driving.
- Respond promptly to requests and concerns from residents, families, and team members.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents' information at all times.
- Notify coordinators of any resident concerns or issues.
- Document and review Maintenance Logs and Daily Log for any needs or requests.
- Train team members on driver assistance procedures and safety protocols as needed.
- Comply with Highway Code regulations and company policies.
- Ensure that risk assessments for the safe operation of community vehicles are current and effective.
- Assist in planning outings and provide necessary information for the monthly activities calendar.

To excel in this position, candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid PCV license with a Cat D1.
